Symphony is crap

Friday's happenings
Friday I went to several of the SirsiDynix presentations. Here is what I heard, and some discussions between the talks also
- API - Good investment : this presentation discussed the use of the API to create apps to safely view and edit data in the database. Using the API would allow editing of data in either the "embedded" oracle, or the full version. Day two
Went to the 7.4 enhancements talk, the upgrade looks promising. SD claims to have 350 bug fixes wrapped into this upgrade and even more bug fixes for the HIP upgrade. I haven't had a chance to ask if they have fixed circulation so that the blocks screen shows up before the update patron screen, so that you can see if a borrower has a clean record before you renew their card....
The Symphony upgrade presentation was only informative if you haven't been through a migration before.
