CODI 2007

CODI 2007 Conference, Pittsburgh, PA

I was looking at the hotel information for the Westin convention center where I have booked my room and I want to know why these hotels cannot provide free internet service. Yes, I know it cost money for an internet connection and the hardware to support wireless. But, they build all the costs for other amenities into the cost of a room, why can't they jack-up the room cost another dollar for everyone and give us free wireless?

And another thing, I was looking at my room reservation and discovered that I will also have to pay for parking. I must be naive to think that hotels should provide parking to their guests. I am looking at the hotels and convention center websites and cannot find any mention of what the parking rates are. Ohhh well....

Yep - it's free (at least in the room) even though its not listed that way :) Haven't had any luck connecting from the convention center, however.

Tammy,
From what I can see, it is a charged for service. I am hoping that there may be a free service within radio range, but am not holding my breath.

I agree! I think free wireless should be part of the contract when we go to a conference hotel.

I hadn't checked yet, but I guess your post means we don't have it at this hotel....
