Day two
Went to the 7.4 enhancements talk, the upgrade looks promising. SD claims to have 350 bug fixes wrapped into this upgrade and even more bug fixes for the HIP upgrade. I haven't had a chance to ask if they have fixed circulation so that the blocks screen shows up before the update patron screen, so that you can see if a borrower has a clean record before you renew their card....
The Symphony upgrade presentation was only informative if you haven't been through a migration before.
EPS (enterprise portal solution) looks promising as a HIP replacement and appears to be more configurable than HIP.
I haven't found where (or if) the SirsiDynix presentations have been posted so that we can download them. The user presentations are on the codi conference page for those didn't know.

Comment by Patzilla on November 12, 2007 at 11:13am - I asked Jolynn Halls whether the renew borrower screen had been changed to show after the block screen. (so that we don't renew someone with a bad record.) She was pretty sure that this has not changed.
